Buckhead Coalition honors Catholic Cathedral

Father Frank McNamee, Cathedral of Christ the King Pastor (second from left in photo), receives a Certificate of Commendation from Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell in recognition of the Cathedral’s 75 anniversary and acknowledging the congregation’s general civic contributions. 

 

Massell, who lives across Peachtree Road from the church complex, praised the parishioners for being such good neighbors.

 

Also photographed during the presentation were Tricia Ward, Christ the King School principal (at left), and eighth-grade students Clare Thanner and Andres Garcia (at right). 

Buckhead is noted for having some of the largest churches in the country, as well as some of the oldest in Georgia.  The community has a total of 34 houses of worship, representing 16 denominations.
