Commercial Board of Realtors honors Sam Massell

Atlanta’s Commercial Board of Realtors presented former Realtor Sam Massell with its Henry Hill Robinson Award Dec. 14 at its annual business meeting.
Sam Massell

The award is for “his outstanding leadership and tremendous contributions to the improvement of the City in general, as well as to the real estate industry in Atlanta.”

Massell, who now serves as president of the Buckhead Coalition, a chamber of commerce type nonprofit for the northern quadrant of Atlanta, was very active in commercial real estate  in Atlanta for  20 years, prior to going full-time into the political arena, which led to him serving four-years as mayor of Atlanta.

As vice president of Allan-Grayson Realty Company, Massell was a charter member of the Real Estate Board’s Million-Dollar Club, and three times earned the Alvin B. Cates Trophy for the outstanding deal of the year.

As the recipient of the Robinson award, Massell pointed out his history in related business has often credited “developers with great achievements in brick-and-mortar, but such construction normally needs the attention of the commercial Realtor to bring the deal to profit status.”
