Rep. Ed Lindsey re-elected Ga. House Majority Whip

The House of Representatives Republican Caucus re-elected five-term Dist. 54 Georgia State Rep. Edward Lindsey (R-Atlanta) to his third term as the House Majority Whip by acclamation during caucus elections on Monday.

As House Majority Whip, Lindsey will be responsible for monitoring legislation as it moves through both chambers of the General Assembly and for helping the 119 members of the majority caucus to better understand the details of bills and resolutions.

“It is a tremendous honor to be re-elected House Majority Whip by my House Republican colleagues,” stated Buckhead’s Lindsey in a release. “The voters have given our caucus a tremendous responsibility, and I look forward to joining my colleagues in helping advance strong conservative principles on behalf of the people of Georgia.”

Rep. Lindsey was first elected Majority Whip by the Republican Caucus, the fourth highest ranking position in House leadership, on Dec. 17, 2009. 

He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2004, and currently serves on the Rules, Appropriations, Education, Ethics, Industrial Relations and Judiciary committees.

    I fail to see how your right to work for less law in Georgia is good news, for we the employee.
    We do not have closed labor shops in Ga. It is against US law.
    Yes, It is good news for the corporations that you lobby for and bad news for the person that work for a paycheck and (votes for you.) Wake up people!
    It is a race to the bottom for wages.
